The 2009 U.S. Chess Champions, Hikaru Nakamura, has agreed to play in the 2010 Saint Louis Open, to be held in April at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis.

A team representing the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis won the 2009 National Youth Action Tournament in Oakbrook, Ill. The players won the K-9 division.
